One Month!

I can't believe that Kenly is already a month old. She is already seeming so much bigger and smiles and giggles now and we seriously love her more and more everyday. She is truely a blessing in my life and there are still some days that i break down in tears just looking down on her while she sleeps or nurses in shock that she is all ours. I'm SO greatful and feel SO blessed of the fact that my heavenly father trusted in me enough to take care of such a special little thing and allowed me to be her mom. KENLY YOU ARE LOVED!!!!! :)

Kenly Reese has arrived... :)

It was a week ago today that i went into the hospital to be induced. Arrived there at about 2:00pm with my mom and Andrew. We were all so anxious and i was so nervous of the "UNKNOWN" of labor and i honestly had no clue what to expect. They took me back to my room around 2:30pm they hooked me all up and i got my IV i had already been dilated to 3CM for over 2 weeks so about an hour later my doctor stopped in and broke my water. (such a weird feeling) about an hour later the nurse came in and she started me on the Patosine (sp). My contractions were almost instantly 1 minute apart and off the chart. The nurse came back in to check me and i was @ 5 CM then that was the HAPPY time and i got my Epidural which made things a lot easier. :) I then hung out in the room with my mom husband and dad just waiting for the contractions to continue and after about an hour in an half the nurse came back in to check me everyone was betting that i was at an 8CM or 7CM. Well little did they know they were all wrong the nurse looked at me and said your a 10CM and crowning. SOOO CRAZY!!! She called the doctor and Kenly was out about 30 minutes later. She was born August 12, 2010 @ 8:44pm. 7 lbs 1 ounce. 19.5 inches long.

I seriously cannot describe the love that i have for this little angel and i honestly can't get enough of her. I love everything about her and i love that my heavenly father blessed her in our lives. Andrew and i are so grateful for Kenly and we are so lucky of what a good baby she is. She nurses like a champ and loves her swing, Binky and only wakes up twice a night to eat. She honestly is such a gift from god and i am honored everyday that i am the person that gets to be her mom. :) :) :)

It's definitely work in progress but for the most part completed... Here are a few pics... Oh and her closet is packed full of clothes & that is the most important part anyway. A little girl can never have to many clothes or hair bows!!! (especially MY little girl) ;) ha ha

Okay so i am now just trying to be patient and wait for our little girl to make her arrival... But it's not very easy at this stage. I keep telling Andrew that now because she had tried to come 4 weeks ago and the doctors and everyone wouldn't let her because she would have been to early she is now mad at us all so now she is going to try and teach us a lesson and will just be late and come even past her Due Date. ha ha. He doesn't find my joke funny though i think he wants her out as much as me if not even more. He is seriously so anxious to meet her and all he talks about is wanting to cuddle her. :) When she tried to come at week 35 the doctor was then just telling me to try and make it to week 37 but they didn't know if i actually could make it.... It was kinda a TEASE cause well i am now going on week 39.
But as hard as it is to be patient in waiting for her arrival. I am definitely very grateful that she is now full term and i have been able to make it through these past few rough long weeks of early labor. I CAN'T WAIT to meet our little gift from Heaven! (Hopefully sooner than later) but i am just trying to soak up these last few days of having her all to myself and try to focus more on the joys and miracle of pregnancy instead of focusing on the discomforts and lack of sleep and the feeling of walking around like a fat cow. ha ha

BABY SHOWER FUN!

Had my baby shower today and it was so much fun! Our good friends and actually the same place where we had our wedding reception is where is was. Stacey and Lori did such a cute job on everything and i loved all the little details! :) Thank you SO MUCH Stace and Lor for the shower i loved it! And thanks again to all of those who came and for all the great gifts she is going to be one spoiled little girl that is for sure! :)

So i know that just yesterday i put the update post up and in the last line i said "I just can't wait to meet our little girl." Well i didn't actually mean it literally but i think Kenly may have thought differently....

Yesterday afternoon i started to have some contractions kinda just the normal ones that i have been having for a few weeks now so i didn't worry or think much about it. Andrew then got home early from work around 2:30 and i was still having them so we layed down and i was just gunna try and sleep it off. I did fall asleep finally around 4:00 and then when i woke up i noticed they started right back up. We were going over to my sisters house for dinner later that evening and so i just was gunna go there and ask her and my mom what they thought seeing that this is my first labor and so i really have no idea what to expect or how to know what is "Actual Labor".

While at my sisters house i continue to have the contractions and the soreness in my stomach and i notice that they are getting stronger and more constant. My mom thought i should maybe just go back home a try and rest and if they didn't stop soon then i should go to the hospital. So when i got home i had Andrew give me a blessing cause i am only at 35 weeks and i know she is technically not full term until week 37. So after i finally fell asleep i would still wake up off and on through the night with pain. I decided to wake Andrew up at around 6:00 AM this morning, my belly was so sore i knew something was off and so we both thought we should head to the hospital just to be safe and for peace of mind.

When we arrived i got all checked in and they took me back to see what was going on. The nurse told me that i was having steady contractions and that i was in labor. Andrew i and look at each other in shock and he then gets so stoked just thinking she can come and i just tear up with fear. At this point we weren't sure what was gunna happen so i got all the wires and hook ups to monitor the baby and myself. They were watching the contractions which were every 7 minutes apart and the nurse then went out to call my doctor to see what she wanted her to do. After about 2 hours of monitoring me they decided to try and stop the labor with that yucky shot they give you that races your heart and makes you feel pretty much like you have the flu.

After they did that they had an ultra sound ordered to check Kenly out and make sure things were all attached and good. They were looking at every little thing and i was just laying while my mind was racing. The Tech then looked at me and said she was doing great and everything is fine she is just wanting to come out early and play. She could tell i was still kinda freaking out and she started trying to take my mind off things by showing me every little thing on the baby. She then looks at me and says Wow she definitely has a lot of hair. :) I just smiled mostly still just relieved that she was okay. After about a total of 6 hours in the hospital my contractions slowed to about every 30-40 minutes and the doctor decided to let me check out! All in all things are still good with both Kenly and myself but now I'm just at home feeling like some punch me in my gut 100 times and ran me over. ha

I truly am so thankful that things are good with Kenly and i feel so blessed to have this chance to be a mom and I'm grateful that i have my husband here by my side through it all worthy to give me the blessing that i know helped me through these past rough days. Thanks babe! I love you Andrew!!

Just an Update!

I know it has been a while since i have had a post so i just wanted to write a quick update on life right now, Last month June 5Th I had the chance to go through the temple and take out my Endowments it was such a magical crazy unreal amazing experience and evening. I loved the feelings from being there and mostly entering into the Celestial Room to see all my family and friends especially my parents and husband and brothers and sisters surrounding me. My sister Juline couldn't come out for it which was the only thing missing but it was still such a great experience one that i will always cherish. (pictures will come later).

I am also now on the last stretch of pregnancy and am at 35 weeks, just 5 more to go. :) We got to get an ultra sound just less than 2 weeks ago and little Miss Kenly Reese was totally healthy and already at 5lbs she still looks a lots like her daddy at least her big lips. ha ;) She is such an active little thing and is constantly moving like crazy though which makes it kinda hard to sleep but it's all just a part of the end is what i am told... She gets the Hiccups at least once a day now and most of the time twice a day. I definitely am starting to get a little nervous of her arrival so many emotions go through my head daily. But mostly I just can't wait to meet our little girl!

"The Mohawk"

OLD Do:
Okay so about 3 weeks ago it was time for our little dog Nixon to get his monthly grooming treatment, ever since he was little i have always gotten his hair cut the same way, and that was just the norm for both him and I. Well.... All up until about 2 Months ago when Andrew started saying he wanted to get Nixon to have a Mohawk i immediately said NO WAY especially being the one that has seen the hair on my dog the same way for over 2 years now. ha ha! But, Well as the groomer appointment got closer the more Andrew would bring it up and he would not back down to the point that every day he would bring it up just to bug me.
Long story short i gave in to my husbands begging and pleading and this is Nix hair now.....

It is pretty grown out now and a bit crazy looking in this picture but it goes clear from his head all down his body. :) We just love our little guy so much!! :):)

I just have to share some exciting news that i am VERY MUCH looking forward to in just a couple weeks. :) .... I will be going through the Oakland, California Temple to be Endowed! We will be waiting to do the sealing once Kenly is here with us so she can be apart of that special day too. But while she is still in my tummy and while we wouldn't have to worry about trying to have someone babysit a 3 week old nursing baby we didn't want to wait to do endowments once she was here, we figure since it's a two hour session and she would have to be with someone outside the temple it would just be best and easier for everyone.

But well i just have to say that Andrew and i have been very blessed in the love that we have for each other and how much growth in our lives we have got to share in just these short 8 months of our marriage. We have had our ups and our downs our highs and our lows the good with the bad and just about shared every emotion and experience we could have imagined. We have shared loss and we have also had 2 new additions to our families as well as our own new addition which will be coming here in just a short 12 weeks. :) We have had such a great journey so far together and are looking forward to a long happy Eternity together. I love you Andrew!

Well i just wanted to explain a little behind how we came up with the name Kenly. My dad's name is KEN and we kinda just added the LY part. ha ha pretty easy explanation but from the second we said it we just knew that was THE NAME for her, i even had a dream about it before we were for sure on her name and well we fell in love with it. She is doing great though and i am feeling so blessed right now. I fall in love with her and the kicks and the punches more everyday. :)

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to my handsome hubby 3,000 miles away and tell him how MUCH i appreciate him and all that he does for me and our soon to be little family. He has been traveling to New Jersey/New York for work and is gone 3 sometimes 4 weeks at a time and i know that it is not super fun for him to be away from me a Nix and home but he still does it. He honestly does so much and i think that sometimes i tend to take him for granted and don't see what a Lucky girl i am. I'm so blessed to have my best friend and such a great man to have by my side everyday. And i can't wait for him to be the CUTEST daddy in the entire world. I fall in love with him more and more as time goes on and still get those butterflies. :) I LOVE YOU Andrew William... Thanks again for being YOUUU!!... And thank you for Loving ME!

So. Cal/ Laguna Beach Weekend

This past Thursday Andrew and my dad had some work they had to do down in Southern California, we hadn't all gotten away from home for a while so we made it a long weekend trip and me and my mom tagged along with them. We got to spend some time by the beach and swimming in the hotel. Best of all we ate lots of good food including Cheesecake Factory and we got to eat PINKBERRY!! Which took me back to my nannying days and eating everyday in the city. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

"LOST DOG"

Last week as i was pulling into my sisters house i noticed this dog standing up licking her garbage can that was on the street. I had seen this little guy for a few weeks in our neighborhood (we live like 3 blocks from each other) and i always tried to see if he had a collar or anything but could never tell. So as i got out of my car i got down and tried to get it to come over to me in which it ran dead sprint and jumped into my lap. I then saw how freaking skinny and cold the little guy was and knew right then that someone had probably just abandoned the little guy. So of course me and the soft spot i have for little dogs took him in the house and gave him a bath in Jannaes tub, gave him some food and then took him to Pets Mart and got him a sweater that he soon learned to LOVE. I then called my Dad and Andrew and told them that i found a dog and that there was NO WAY i was going to be able to take him to the animal center and say Goodbye, anyone who knows me well knows that i am a huge baby when it comes to stuff like this especially right now and me being Prego. Anyways long story short i kept the dog for 2 days and was falling in love with this little guy all he ever wanted to do was snuggle me and he was potty trained just the entire package of a GREAT Dog. But i knew that i couldn't keep him especially already having Nixon and then the baby on the way i just knew it would be to hard so finally after getting brave enough to take him to the Vet to see if he had a Micro-Chip in him and see if they could find his family i did, and to my surprise he did have one. Which gave me his name "HECTOR" and it also gave me the owners names and address. So i then thought that maybe since they spent the money in taking care of the dog and even putting a micro-chip in him i thought that then maybe they really had just lost their dog and i would be making some family VERY happy in a few minutes. . . Well as i am driving over there to the house i kept calling the people over and over to see if they would answer but they never did i left messages and never got called back, As i pulled in the house looked empty and there was no answer on the door. I then talked to the neighbor outside and he told me that the people had moved but knew nothing about the dog. I instantly was filled with that knot in my throat and tears down my face and pretty much knew they really had just left Hector behind when they moved. I then cried for the entire way home knowing that i would have to take Hector to the Shelter because we were leaving the next morning for So. Cal and couldn't take him in the hotel. But Hector is now in Oakdale at the shelter and they are going to be putting him up for adoption soon and i hope and pray that he gets to go to a great home. AND to the people who left sweet Hector behind, well i hope you go to hell. Ha ha Seriously though.

ULTRA SOUND

Just wanted to give a baby update. . . I went to the doctor today and everything went really well. The baby is healthy as ever and the doctor said that "IT" (BOY or GIRL) is a very social baby and it was so crazy getting to see the little thing. Andrew has been gone for work on the East coast for over 3 weeks now and he was not able to come to the appointment today which sucked but i was very happy my mom and sister and Linken got to come. Linken loved the ultra sound and him and the baby just kept waving at eachother. It was seriously crazy and so cute! Anyways baby is healthy and i am hangin in there with the nausia and all that fun stuff, and in the end it will all be worth it. :)

MEXICO TRIP '09

Just thought that i would make a post of our Mexico trip that we went on over the summer. It was SO MUCH FUN and we got to spend some time with Andrews Dad and his wife Susan as well as 2 of Andrews little brothers Jared and Adam, and Susans son Jake and his cute wife Diana came along also, there was tons of sun, and great food. It really was a great trip and looking back at these photos makes me really want to go on a warm vacation.... RIGHT NOW.
